Hellhoney - The Unicorn Character Design Sketches

Here proceeds the last of the main character sketches I have right now (well, actually, I have some more from many months ago that I scanned in and posted a couple on deviantART, but I don't think I posted all of them... so they may make an appearance soon, too.) I also have some supporting characters to post next time.

So, in case you haven't guessed from my hint last time, this post's character is:

The Unicorn

So bony! Actually, she didn't turn out quite as horse-faced as I originally intended, but I can't bear to change her face much, she's very pretty (don't worry, what she lacks in face meat, she more than makes up for it with her muscular body.) This is just a pencil sketch, so you can't tell, but her hair is white with stands of bright dyed color. She's the silent badass of the "good" guys.

She can actually fight well, with tank-like strength and a sharp pointy thing on her head (also known as a horn.) Until nastier bosses enter the picture, The Unicorn is the greatest threat to the main characters!

Hellhoney - The Mermaid Character Design Sketches

I just finished finished watching S/mileage's Live Concert on YouTube. I've been up since 8:30 am Saturday, but I still stayed up till now (6:30 am Sunday) just to watch the whole concert. <3 It was good! And very happy~ Kanyon was her usual silly self, though I was a bit worried for her for awhile. She looked like the dancing was exerting her more than usual and her voice was cracking. ;_; Oh, and Vampire Girl (Meimei) was super cute! Proudly show your fangs, girl! Probably anyone reading this blog has no idea what I'm talking about. So from now I'll put idol-related posts (including sketches and WIPs) on my idol blog, haha. Now back to finishing up the Hellhoney sketch series! The Mermaid

She's the cute and pretty "good" guy and probably the only real personality (besides the cupid) in that group. She's kind of mischievous, so she could actually fit in with the main characters if they could convert her...

Oh, and I had fun with her hair! It's a bit inspired by how I keep my bangs out of my eyes when they get too long, haha.

She uses her seaweed lasso and tail as weapons (but don't worry, she doesn't sound like a hick, hurrr.) I need to figure out a way to allow her to attack in water in my storylines, even though it would be entertaining to draw her flopping about. But really, I shouldn't have such pathetic antagonists!

One more character left and then one page of supporting characters left from my batch Hellhoney sketches~ The next character shouldn't be hard to guess actually if you know me...

Hellhoney - The Angel Character Design Sketches

Gaaaah, finally I post again. (Sounds like Deja vu...) It's harder to write these entries because I really don't have much to say about some of the "good" guys... I haven't developed their characters enough/thought about them as much as the main characters.

The Angel

I was giving him a longer face to make him look older, but now he looks like Miya from Buono! Well, that's fine, something else to make fun of the "good" guys about. Though the "horse" face would be more appropriate on another character. Maybe they could be siblings. A Pegasus and a... hmm.

He's a healer as well, but he can throw his halo like a frisbee and play his harp to calm beasts and demons, so he's not entirely useless. He's very much a support character, if he was in an RPG party. He also has wings, which makes him the only aerial member of the "good" guys, and whether that's fortunate or not depends on whether the aerial main characters (the Dragon and the Griffin) are subdued.

The last two "good" guys are probably the most awesome of the bunch, powers and concept-wise. =3

Hellhoney - The Cupid Character Design Sketches

I finally got around to adding stuff to my to-do list when I finally found it handy. And then when I was brainstorming for chapter ideas, I found myself thinking of My Little Pony versions of Hello!Project idols. So yet another thing was added to my to-do list of hundreds of things that might get done.

The Cupid

The wavy haired man-child. The jokester of the "good" guys group. The potential for slash pairings of my characters (I'm referring to his power, though I suppose he's fair game to any that want to slash him, too.)

I wasn't going to put him a diaper or have him go naked like cupids/cherubs in myths and art. That would be going a bit too far if I ever want to sell copies of my comic (at least, outside the Captain Underpants crowd...) So instead he gets to look like a ranger/elf-class warrior wearing Valentine's Day colors. Like the Werelamb, his powers are terrible when it comes to offense. But I guess filling people with love makes sense for a "good" guy that battles evil demi-monsters. He might be a closet-pervert, too.

The next "good" guy is more of Nicolina's direct opposite...

Hellhoney - The Werelamb Character Design Sketches

Well, that took a while. I kept going to bed figuring it was too late to make a blog post. But it's nearly 3 AM here, so here we go! Also, I might just make these posts every other day so I don't have to turn on my computer every day. There's freedom and also I work on a bigger variety of projects when my computer is off.

The Werelamb

One of the "good" guys, the opponents of the demon team early on. Lambs are a symbol of innocence, but maybe there's a pun in there, too?

He makes a pretty terrible superhero/villain, huh? The Griffin likes to refer to him as Lambchops, and everyone calls him Fluffy, usually. He seriously has no physical fighting ability. He can be compared to The Comfy Chair:

The next "good" guy is just as lame, but less incompetent!

Hellhoney - The Lilitu Character Design Sketches

This one might cause nerdrage because I chose something somewhat obscure that probably means a lot to some people. So my disclaimer is that while I read the Wikipedia article about lilitu (Lilith), I just picked my favorite parts and mangled them. Don't take it seriously, I just had fun.

Okay, so now for the character that probably would be more at home in Las Vegas:

The Lilitu: (This actually ties in to an event later on in the story and a memorable character -for me, at least-, so this is why I give her that name rather than just calling her a witch.)

Here's where the 1.5 character bit comes in. She actually has a male demon attached to her aura. He was trying to possess her, but somehow she gained control over him, so now he permanently tags along with her. As for the girl that becomes The Lilitu, she's not as scary as she looks (her eyebags are a result of staying up late reading or using the Internet, something a lot of us can relate to I imagine.) She's the fun older sister type.

And this is her Las Vegas outfit, err, strange bird/snake outfit. She mostly casts spells, and she can be a healer, but her mule demon (that was not a typo) does a portion of fighting for her, too. Oh, and look at that fluffy pony tail he has! And cute little ear tufts! I guess evolution favored him becoming someone's pet... >:3

I hope he's not too similar to dog demons and their humans masters, which have become a bit overused (like fox demons)... hopefully a mule demon can give the same laughs while being unique enough. (She can feed him oats!)

Hellhoney - The Griffin Character Design Sketches

Someone's going to have fun with this one. :D Because today we have a character that I know a certain someone is going to tease me about having "Cockatoo" hair like the Tenth Doctor on Doctor Who. But seriously, it's because her transformation is half bird.

The Griffin

She's the taller and sarcastic one of the group. Her face is supposed to be long and thin and bony, but with her nose and face shape, I had to give her some squishiness in the cheeks... otherwise she would have looked like an old man! As you can see, I was toying around with two ways she could wear her "feathers"... either across the middle of her head or with a center fake-mohawk. I rather like the former, but I'm not sure if that would be possible in real life without lots of hairspray. But this is just a comic, so oh well.

She has a simpler outfit to fit her no-nonsense personality. And she's more speedy and can fight in the air better than any of the other main characters. She needs a weapon, but I don't want anything weighing her down. Maybe she's a magical griffin? 8D

Oh yeah, and I tried adding feathers around her neck, but then she looked like a female version of The Vulture (from Spider-Man.) She really is the "Old Man" of the group! :O

Just one more main (human) character to go. Or perhaps that's 1.5? And then I have the "bad guys" and supporting cast. And stuffed animals. Lots of them.
